But what’s it all about?

The original Colourbots was written way back in 2013 as part of a collection of bedtime tales, it depicted a character who took the world at their own pace and did things differently to most, preferring play and imagination to structures and schedules. He felt so different to the others who lived with him he decided to escape his world and find a new place to call home.

Over ten years on, the story has developed into a book of its own, through Popple’s Tales story telling sessions it took on a new look and more wonderful pages were added.

In essence the message is the same, we all need to be different to make our mark in this world, we need each other's differences to be great and we can accept those differences without changing who we are.

A story about being unique, working together and being the very best you that you can be!

When can you get your hands on a copy?

The book will be meeting the world at The North East Indie Children’s Book Festival on the 27Th July 2026 and after that here in the Popple’s Tales shop!
